Kingstar Future Fuels was set up with one goal in mind; to provide a high-quality, highly efficient, clean, green sustainable eco fuel to the homes of Ireland.
Sarah has a background in Horticulture. She studied horticulture and worked in horticulture for 15 years. Garreth has 20 years in the heating industry prior to setting up Kingstar Future Fuels with Sarah.
These two backgrounds combined give us our passion for a greener, more sustainable way of living. It is this ethos that glued us together and that’s how Future Fuels came about.
The Greener Future Plan
We launched “The Greener Future Plan” in November 2021. The purpose of our plan is to give back to the planet and our loyal customers by gifting all of our customers who buy 1 x ton (a pallet) of eco logs a free Oak tree to plant.
In our first year, we planted over 500 trees.
The reason we picked Oak was because of its significance to our company.
Also, it is a native tree to Ireland.
We fell NO trees for our eco logs. The sawdust or biomass waste is dried and compressed to make a high-quality, highly efficient eco log. Our green process creates sustainable, environmentally friendly logs to heat Irish homes.

If our customers don’t have the space to plant their Oak tree or can’t take a tree for different reasons, we will happily plant it for them in the local community.
Our plan is to include local schools and clubs in the roll out of The Greener Future Plan.
National Tree Week
To kick off National Tree Week in 2023, we visited the local national school Ballinahown to celebrate and raise awareness of the importance of trees. This was an excellent opportunity for us to teach young students all about looking after the environment. We also taught them about Oak trees and how to plant a tree, encouraging students to give a little bit back to the planet.
With some students from the 6th class, we planted Oak tree saplings and we had lots of fun. The best part about planting trees in local schools is that as the students grow, they can watch their Oak trees grow too.
